Our mission: Democratize Access to Clean Energy

Access to clean energy should be a human right. It should arrive in days, not years.

Everyone needs electricity. Almost no one can get more of it. At Bluecore Energy, we are developing a floating nuclear power plant that leverages 70 years of proven history to meet demand.

We believe that this is a once-in-a-generation opportunity to be a pioneer in nuclear maritime, so we are executing quickly. In the first couple of months of the company: We have made history as the first nuclear company to establish headquarters at a major port.

We now have a barge, a reactor, and a world-class team of nuclear, maritime, automotive, and aerospace leaders.

We have local and federal partnerships with Long Beach Port, Long Beach Mayor’s office, Department of Transportation, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and the Coast Guard.

Special thank you to you all for being the first investors on the journey.

Challenges

03

Supply chain is the headline this month. Three long-lead components are backlogged industry-wide; here is where each one stands.

A
Reactor pressure vessel
Unlocked

Unlocked for criticality but needs upgrades for commercial scale. RPVs remain backlogged across the industry — but our special fabrication partnership with Rebuild Optimation unlocks the queue. The first RPV has already been delivered to our integration facility. We are unblocked on criticality but need larger systems for the full-scale commercial version.

Reactor V2 is in design and set to be ordered this year. Delivery in 2027

B
Nuclear fuel
On track

On track but biggest risk point until contracts are provided and signed. The reactor is designed around the most commonly available fuel — a deliberate de-risking choice. Where 93 industrial plants each need ~500 units, we need 1–4 for criticality.

Top 2 of 3 qualified suppliers are engaged, and we have already conducted in-person facility visits.

C
Steam generators
Attention

Steam generators are the one component where we lack strong supplier connection points. Backlogs are 18-36 months at the majors.

If you know procurement or executive contacts at steam-generator fabricators, this is the intro that matters most.

Resolved
Department of Energy (DOE) Launchpad not included in first rounds
→ Direct partnership with Idaho National Laboratory + DOE

Our DOE Launchpad track has evolved into a signed direct partnership with Idaho National Laboratory (INL) & DOE — unlocking the criticality pathway. Idaho National Laboratory has a facility we can use to go critical, so the DOE confirmed that the Launchpad application could be redundant. We already have a formal partnership with the leading national nuclear lab, but there is still an opportunity to participate on a rolling basis, and we will continue working closely with the DOE to unlock criticality.

Financials

04
The current plan carries us through design certification to first criticality in Q4 2027, with an 18-month runway buffer.
$30M
Cash on hand (not including $10M venture debt + $10M committed equity to be wired)
$350K/mo
Current burn
30months
Runway w/out venture debt through mid-2029
$1.1M/mo
Est. future monthly average burn (estimated in 2027+).

05 · Founder’s perspective

Access to clean energy should be a human right.

“Our mission is simple: democratize access to clean energy,” said Asante. “Billions of people live near water, yet access to reliable power is still too often constrained by geography and existing infrastructure. We want to build a future where clean energy can go where it is needed, not in years but in days.”
